History

Our plant in Saint Jean ThurigneuxFounded in 1935, PYRAGRIC are now part of Lyon region's industrial heritage. Their expertise has promoted their activity development, from the agricultural pyrotechnics, at the root of their name, to the entertainment pyrotechnics. In 1965, PYRAGRIC created the area ‘Pyrotechnics Displays' and were entrusted Monaco's fireworks displays for the princely wedding of Rainier III and Grace Kelly. This was the starting point of a great history dedicated to fireworks magic.

 

The registered and administrative office is located in Rillieux la Pape, on the Northeast plain of the urban community of Lyon (also known as Grand Lyon), which towers above Lyon. It is here that Pyragric's industrial memory lies in, a memory that testifies the evolution of techniques and activities. It is also the starting point of their national and international influence since PYRAGRIC export their expertise to every corner of the world: French overseas regions and territories, Senegal, Morocco, Cameroon, and Switzerland among many others.

 

Located in 2 listed sites fulfilling the strictest storage standards and occupying more than 47 hectares, PYRAGRIC have around 300 buildings - with a storage capacity up to 600 tonnes of active materials - over nearly 800 000 m2! Our 4 key words, Quality, Safety, Service and Show lead us in all our projects.


PYRAGRIC stands for the expertise of all pyrotechnics steps, from the design to the shipping: general public fireworks and firecrackers, agricultural fireworks, Bastille Day's fireworks, grand displays and special events. This activity requires multiple skills already existing in our company: engineering, tests laboratories, training centre, export service, marketing service or shipping and logistics department.
